Ahh wake up and smell the flowers!! Because soon it will be spring. Then comes summer. And this means flowing dresses, sandals, flowers in your hair, short shorts, tank tops, bikinis, and mimosas on the beach!! So what will you be wearing this spring/summer? Being the little Pocahontas that I am, I will be rocking the oh so fashionable, relaxed boho-chic look. I have been drooling on my laptop over some bohemian/Indian looks, and they
are to die for.
It's all about the accessories.
Accessories, accessories, accessories!
From your jewelery, to your hand bag, to your backpack, to your headband, to your belt... It doesn't always have to match which is what I love about this style trend.
It is so versatile and easy, while remaining chic and in style. I have not only been having luck with great finds, vintage and non vintage, in thrift stores and boutiques, I have also seen this style on the runway. Designers such as Emilio Pucci, Alberta Ferretti, Anna Sui, and Julian Louie have been making amazing pieces in their spring collections. Julian Louie has come together with
Aldo shoes with an ethnic color block look that is fierce and perfect for spring.
Free People, as always, has beautiful pieces out right now. I walked down to take a look in their Aspen store just a few blocks away from my work on my lunch break and this store is fabulous! Free People really knows what they are doing and their clothing reflects the people that shop at their stores, a free and adventurous, romantic and strong woman. I will always always always love the passion that this company has for the fashion industry.
Did I mention I love shoes yet? Well it's true! And within this style trend shoes are very important! -Oh who am I kidding, shoes are
always very important- Boots in all colors, colorful and unique wedges, moccasins and sandals. From jewels to suede, the possibilities are endless but always remember that the shoe makes the outfit!
Mmmm, inspiration :)
Enjoy lovelies
xx love, Alex
