Rhapsodic Summer Fashion

During my blogging research I came across the website Fashion Traffic and I am so thrilled that I found it! They are a source for fashion bloggers to utilize for making those blogging dolla's! I signed up and I'm super excited to start using this for earnings later on down the road.

While searching about their site, looking at different online shops you can post from to your blog to earn a small portion of the cost of any skirt, dress, pants, bag, accessories, etc. on a certain website, I came across a website called ASOS. {Instant love}

They have a tool where you can shop their entire website, other websites, and create your own look from all categories of the shopping world! AMAZING! So here is one look I created, and it is so fun to look through all of the items they have on their site. I found this picture of the woman in the white lace skirt and that became my inspiration for the whole outfit. I went with turquoise accessories and brown and pink to go with the skirt. I can picture this outfit for a summer concert (minus the heels). You can sign up and create your own looks here!

Get the look!

Color of the Day: Yellow

Happy Monday lovelies!!

I hope it is a wonderful Monday filled with less stress and more happiness!
Which is why I chose yellow as the color of the day.

Yellow is the color aroused by light. Yellow is sunshine, hope and happiness. It’s Monday and we all need a little bit of this color to light up our day, to give us all a little energy.

Talk about an eye catching color, especially for summer! With designers doing so much with color blocking these days, I think that any shade of yellow will add a little extra something to your outfit.

Some suggestions and inspiration....... : )

Color Inspo

www.weheartit.com

Inspiration can come from anywhere! Today I found this gorgeous photo and I am taking the pink colors from it to get dressed and also to take with me to the fabric store. I have a couple of things in mind that would be really amazing to create from this!

Today's Inspo: Pink

Audrey Kitching is constantly an inspiration, but today her hair is inspiring me to think pink. If I could pull it off I would totally rock this hair color wouldn't you?

bohemian inspiration

Ahh wake up and smell the flowers!! Because soon it will be spring. Then comes summer. And this means flowing dresses, sandals, flowers in your hair, short shorts, tank tops, bikinis, and mimosas on the beach!! So what will you be wearing this spring/summer? Being the little Pocahontas that I am, I will be rocking the oh so fashionable, relaxed boho-chic look. I have been drooling on my laptop over some bohemian/Indian looks, and they are to die for.
It's all about the accessories. Accessories, accessories, accessories!
From your jewelery, to your hand bag, to your backpack, to your headband, to your belt... It doesn't always have to match which is what I love about this style trend.
It is so versatile and easy, while remaining chic and in style. I have not only been having luck with great finds, vintage and non vintage, in thrift stores and boutiques, I have also seen this style on the runway. Designers such as Emilio Pucci, Alberta Ferretti, Anna Sui, and Julian Louie have been making amazing pieces in their spring collections. Julian Louie has come together with Aldo shoes with an ethnic color block look that is fierce and perfect for spring. Free People, as always, has beautiful pieces out right now. I walked down to take a look in their Aspen store just a few blocks away from my work on my lunch break and this store is fabulous! Free People really knows what they are doing and their clothing reflects the people that shop at their stores, a free and adventurous, romantic and strong woman. I will always always always love the passion that this company has for the fashion industry.
Did I mention I love shoes yet? Well it's true! And within this style trend shoes are very important! -Oh who am I kidding, shoes are always very important- Boots in all colors, colorful and unique wedges, moccasins and sandals. From jewels to suede, the possibilities are endless but always remember that the shoe makes the outfit!

Mmmm, inspiration :)
Enjoy lovelies
xx love, Alex

take a walk in these shoes

You'll be happy to hear that I have a slight obsession with shoes. From boots to stilettos, and sandals to sneakers, I have a hard time saying no to foot accessories.  Free People has a store in the Cherry Creek Shopping Center, I recently oogled their newly added shoe collection in the store. They have the most adorable spring and summer shoe collection!

My latest obsession: summer wedges. Free People has a great line of wedges, summer sandals and heels.

First off, I must say that Free People has one of the most inspiring collections each season, and their mission to spread happiness in every experience that is free people, is uplifting. Their carefully crafted, unique line of clothing, accessories and shoes are inspiring and I look to their online catalog religiously when I am looking for something unique I know cannot find anywhere else.

A few shoes I adore...

This beautiful leather cutout wedge zippers up the back of the heel and laces up the front. In black or nude, this is the perfect summer sandal for work and nightlife attire.

 Flirty. Fun. Artistic.

I love these Espadrilles in nude. Also sweet and sexy in black. Dress them up with a summer dress or simply wear them with your favorite cargo pants.

Wear these anywhere, with anything from a flirty skirt or floral jumpsuit. With a small heel, this sandal is perfect for any outdoor event that requires walking in the grass. Usually, grass and heels do not mix well, so give your feet a break from heels for a day and throw these adorable sandals on. Personally I love these in rose, but nude or black could be effortlessly paired with any spring or summer outfit.

Keep it chic
Love,
Alex xx
