Show Me Your Mumu

I love Pinterest.... There are so many women out there sharing the same interests and it's so easy to get lost in!
I just came across a girl's pin from a website called Show Me Your Mumu. And I thought to myself "huh, what a funny name for a clothing line" But!-- Never be to quick to judge.... These two ladies have created a beautiful line of clothes from a whimsical fairytale about friendship and love. I absolutely love this!! It's so adorable, and perfect for summer, especially when we are talking about festival season! Shop their website here and find out what this fairytale is all about!

Rhapsodic Summer Fashion

During my blogging research I came across the website Fashion Traffic and I am so thrilled that I found it! They are a source for fashion bloggers to utilize for making those blogging dolla's! I signed up and I'm super excited to start using this for earnings later on down the road.

While searching about their site, looking at different online shops you can post from to your blog to earn a small portion of the cost of any skirt, dress, pants, bag, accessories, etc. on a certain website, I came across a website called ASOS. {Instant love}

They have a tool where you can shop their entire website, other websites, and create your own look from all categories of the shopping world! AMAZING! So here is one look I created, and it is so fun to look through all of the items they have on their site. I found this picture of the woman in the white lace skirt and that became my inspiration for the whole outfit. I went with turquoise accessories and brown and pink to go with the skirt. I can picture this outfit for a summer concert (minus the heels). You can sign up and create your own looks here!

Get the look!

Coral, Floral

The weather has been so gorgeous lately! It calls for sun dresses, sandals, espadrilles and pomegranate mojitos.

I recently went to H&M in Denver and their store is beyond amazing. I found the cutest sun dress, in coral of course, with a white floral detail. So cute!

My mom knows that I've been obsessing over this color lately too. She and my dad went to Hawaii a few weeks ago and she came back with a few gifts for me! She came back with a Roxy dress with coral flowers on it, as well as a coral dress by Elan that you can wear in multiple ways, you can even wear it as a skirt. Searching online at the recent color trends of the summer, a lot of designers have been using this color on the runway too!

Vegas Baby

Summer is upon us and I am so stoked about everything happening!! My girlfriends and I are headed to Vegas in a few weeks to party with the best of them at the Electric Daisy Carnival and I could not be more excited! Number one because we are road tripping and I love summer road trips. Number two because it's Vegas and I had so much fun last year, I can't wait to make more memories this year with my favorite party girls. And number three, because I am hand making all our outfits again this year with some even cuter ideas!

I am working on sewing up some festi outfits for us and I wanted to share what I was making with all of you! And I wanted to share where some of my inspiration came from for my ideas.....

 I am using some old dresses from American Apparel and Forever21 to make some tops.

 I bought these fabrics off of Etsy from Mimis Fabric Shop

 I bought these zippers, lace and green chiffon leaves on Etsy from QFabrics Shop
 These feathers came from Zucker Feathers
which I love because you can buy in bulk and there are so many options!!

Color of the Day: Yellow

Happy Monday lovelies!!

I hope it is a wonderful Monday filled with less stress and more happiness!
Which is why I chose yellow as the color of the day.

Yellow is the color aroused by light. Yellow is sunshine, hope and happiness. It’s Monday and we all need a little bit of this color to light up our day, to give us all a little energy.

Talk about an eye catching color, especially for summer! With designers doing so much with color blocking these days, I think that any shade of yellow will add a little extra something to your outfit.

Some suggestions and inspiration....... : )

Skill, Support, and Shoes

Happy May to all you beautiful fashionista's!

Since I have been blogging for a little over a year now, I decided it is time to move on up in the blogging world.  I am still new to all of this but I am constantly learning new little tips here and there.
I recently joined a site which all fashion bloggers should become members to
Independent Fashion Bloggers { www.heartifb.com }

In this site there is a ridiculous amount of information I have been missing out on! Stories about the things I have been brainstorming, such as: How to drive more traffic to your blog, how to make money from your blog, blogging 101, all about the in's and out's of social media, fashion week insight, online tools to making your blog better... I mean the list goes on and on.

Taking all of this information and organizing it into my already clustered brain is going to be quite the task. It feels slightly overwhelming, like any internet information is, but it's also incredibly exciting to think that soon enough Chronically Chic will be recognized all over the world. I want to take the next steps to globalizing my blog and my personal name. I have the writing skill, social media skill, support from family and friends and soon I'll have support from readers not only nationwide, but worldwide. The time is now. No more dilly dallying for this girl. It's time to get motivated, writing, researching, expanding and producing an exceptional, fun and interesting blog for all you fashionista's to read and follow! Timeliness is very important in this industry, and I know we all love the feeling of knowing a blog can give us instant gratification. On that note, I will be updating more frequently to share the latest and greatest finds!

I want this to be insightful, inspiring, sassy, beautiful, realistic, eccentric, and most importantly fun! Because of course you, my audience and followers, are the underlying force to my success!

Keep reading, stay chic, and enjoy yourselves lovelies!
xx love, alex

Of course I couldn't leave you without a little inspiration & excitement for the day...

Inspiration Nation

Just the word inspiration makes me feel all tingly inside. Inspiration has always been what has driven me to continue to pursue my dream of owning my own boutique/ salon. Although there are so many influences from people, companies, local designers, friends, family, cosmetologists, small business owners and the media, there is always one from those categories that, every once in a while continues to inspire my passion.
Jusssssssst sayin'.... Creare Designs is one of those. Local Colorado designer, model, go go dancer, and hair & makeup artist, Samantha Martucci. A few months ago, shortly after I fell in love with Etsy.com, I saw Sam was selling her pieces on the site, I had already loved this fur vest she had on in one of her modeling photos and what do you know... She was selling it! I bought it of course, I love it! I am even wearing it in one of my photos from my photo shoot with Andrea.
Anyways, let's get back to the inspiring part. I took a look at her Facebook page, she was doing so many cool things with her shop and clothing line I kinda thought to myself "this is the inspiration boost I need" because this was EXACTLY the excitement that I needed! She even won her first runway show prize in March and the final is coming up in May. So be sure to vote for her! And go to the show, which I believe is at Suite200 in downtown Denver.
Her designs are so well fabricated and thought out. I love the fact that she models her own pieces, she seems to have great connections with Denver photographers, and the way that she has been "advertising" her line is awesome, she has a lot of followers. From her passion, drive and motivation, to her outgoing personality and ability to network, I think this girl is going places. She has so many people who support her and love her line, including myself. Time to pull out the sewing machine....

My Jeffrey Campbell Love Affair

If I haven't already fallen head over heels in love with Jeffrey Campbell (pun intended) then the day has officially come.

I am almost embarrassed to say that I hadn't seen this fabulous line of shoes until late last year. What a fabulous discovery!! I absolutely adore the vision of the company,
"You are Jeffrey Campbell"
This is not only very inspiring, it makes me want to buy every single unique pair of boots, wedge, and platform shoe they have! Awesome. I am moving to California and this L.A. essence of street, meets vintage meets runway is going to be perfect for the eclectic lifestyle I'll be living. No other shoe brand is so unbelievably chic, unique and oh so recognizably sleek. {Say that ten times fast}
I am shopping around because they aren't a bargain brand but I will be making my first purchase before I can wear shorts and a t-shirt in 80 degree weather : )
Mmmm summer is creeping up, yesterday was the first day of spring and I am ready to see some ladies in short shorts, cork wedges, white jeans, floral print mini's and sun dresses! Oh, and bikini's, yes please! All of these spring/ summer essentials must be accompanied by some fab shoes, and by fab I mean wicked and by wicked I mean radically chic. Ah you get the picture. Bottom line: get your JC shoes ASAP lovelies! It's in, its fabulous and so are you : )

Dress these up with a dress or dress them down with shorts and a t-shirt!

So cute!

Perfect Perfect Perfect!!

Eco Collection!!

Ahhh if only.... This girl is a dreamer

Til next time, rainbows, butterflies and shoes are in the forecast.
xoxo, Alex
